Missing these dreamy Zimbabwean mornings 😍

#victoriafalls #thisisafrica #zimbabwe Of all the impressive animal encounters we had in Africa, elephants still remain my #1. Seeing a large bull male elephant for the 1st time is a moment I’ll never forget. Intelligent, powerful, and surprisingly graceful and quiet as they meander A brown-headed kingfisher in the warm, golden light of dawn. One of the many lovely birds of the South African bushveld.

#southafrica #birdsofafrica #wildlifephotography The sunsets in Africa are simple unreal.

#southafrica #kruger #girafe Sunrise in the African bush.

As this beautiful lionness rested in the crisp winter air, her warm breath drifted upward, just catching the first light of sunrise. A tranquil moment that will stay with me forever.

#lioness #wildafrica #sabisands To see a leopard on any game drive in South Africa is a real treat - but to get one posing, in a scenic tree, on our very 1st game drive while on safari? Pure, blissful luck.

#leopard #big5 #southafrica #bigcatenergy The sweetest family portrait. πŸ₯°

These endangered beach-dwelling African penguins have stolen my heart! While staying in Simon’s Town, I loved waking up to their little squawks, watching them waddle down the beach and most of all observing th A stunning male cardinal calls out from the pines, claiming its territory and keeping track of its nearby mate.

#birdohotography #floridabirds #hobesoundphotographer A lone egret wades through the shallow waters of the wetland, patiently waiting for the perfect moment to strike its prey. A quiet moment on a beautiful evening in one of my favorite local spots, where the marsh falls still just before sunset.

Thank you, @oceangeographic, for this incredible honor.

To have this image recognized among so many powerful and inspiring entries is deeply meaningful, and I am truly grateful to be included alongside such talented photographers.

My goal has alway Having a blast with the wildlife on my current trip to Africa- and I still have a week left of adventures to go - but I must admit, I do miss the ocean. Really hoping my turtle friends stick around for a bit longer until I return!

#turtlenestingsea Finally carved out some quality turtle time this season. Slipping away to the backside of the reef — just me, the ocean, and my camera — is about as peaceful as an afternoon can get. Sunday was a good one. πŸ’™

This green turtle vanished beneath the sand—whether to shake off the remoras or find a retreat from the persistent tourists, I can only guess. I was hovering in front of it when it erupted back into view, sand cascading from its fa I’m used to a cheerful welcome from the little burrfish that reside under the bridge - looking almost happy, with their wide mouths, sparkling iridescent eyes and curious personalities.
This one stopped me.
A small, sobering glimpse of the impa Summertime is almost here, and I can’t wait to slow down and spend some quality time basking in the Florida sun—just like this adorable little guy. β˜€οΈπŸŒ΄

#floridacooter #turtletime #vitamind #floridasprings It’s that time of year again… the octos are back under the bridge! Can’t wait to spend more time with my favorite shapeshifting friends underwater. ✨ πŸ™

Framed by the skeletal structure of the sunken ship, our model diver hovers within a narrow entryway on the Kittiwake where light and shadow collide. This image was a result of experimenting with backlighting and off Blending in or standing out?

I spotted this trumpetfish hovering vertically among the sea rods, perfectly mimicking their shape to stay hidden in plain sight.

Fun fact: trumpetfish often swim head-down like this, using vertical structures—lik So much fun diving with these behemoths on the deep Jupiter wrecks.

I couldn’t decide which I liked better—the goliath close-up, or the wider scene that reveals the full wreck. I’m usually drawn to images that place animals within Not your typical reef shot…

During my lighting workshop with @alexmustard1 in January, one dive along the Cayman wall was dedicated to shifting perspective—focusing on inward lighting rather than the bright, evenly lit, colorful reefsca
